WASILLA — Local police and residents of a North Lucille Street apartment complex are still confused following what may have been one of the shortest manhunts in city history.

CLAYTON COUNTY (KWWL) -- There is a manhunt underway in Clayton County for a suspect wanted for shooting at cars and a home with a rifle.

The person responsible for killing a man in Ector County has not been found. Rey Valdez was shot on Thursday and died that day in the hospital. Sheriff's deputies continue to search for the murderer. The victim's body was sent to Tarrant County for an autopsy this weekend.

SULLIVAN - Sullivan police staged a massive manhunt Monday night for a Moultrie County man accused of car theft and attempting to run down Police Chief John Love.

Authorities say the suspect got out of jail days ago for a crime he's now accused of committing again.

Following refusals and appeals, the video game Manhunt 2 will finally be released in the UK...on Halloween.

Bakersfield police conducted a brief manhunt in Central Bakersfield on Sunday to find the driver of a stolen vehicle who sped away from authorities, crashed the vehicle and then fled the scene. A female passenger in the white Mitsubishi SUV was arrested but the male driver remained at large. Lt. Jess Molinar said an officer tried to initiate a traffic stop when the driver sped away.

LOMITA - An armed robber in Lomita eluded capture Thursday afternoon despite a large-scale manhunt.

A manhunt is under way for two awaiting-trial prisoners — Sanele Khuzwayo (26) and Sipho Ngcobo (22) — who assaulted and overpowered a policewoman and possibly killed a teenage inmate as they escaped from the Dalton police cells on Saturday morning.
